Gorm: Unfeeling

We inhabit a place of breathtaking beauty and yet, amidst the glamour and geometric swirl we close our hearts and minds to others of our kind.

It is also disturbing that, individually and collectively, we have turned our backs on the planet that sustains us. Sometimes, the planet protests and releases its brutal energy, tearing through cities, towns and villages with hurricane fire, and flaying people alive under a storm of volcanic ash.

Mostly, the planet waits.

We are Gorm ~ unfeeling, desensitised, divisive, deceitful, fearful and false.

I believe Mother Earth is doing what she can to rid herself of the illness/parasites that we humans are in an attempt to rebalance. I feel sorry for all the creatures (plants, animals, bugs, fish, scales, fur and flippers, etc) that are caught in the crossfire.

I like the new address/look. Also like that artwork. The contrast of the sad, gray, blocky human against the colorful chaotic swirl is wonderful.

“For what is evil but good tortured by its own hunger and thirst?
Verily when good is hungry it seeks food even in dark caves, and when it thirsts it drinks even of dead waters . . .” Kahlil Gibran

It is part of the God Question. It is a paradox, of course, because if there is a god, a supreme being, charged with creation and omniscient, then why on earth did he create me with all my failings? A vessel containing both good and evil.
