This picture was NOT created using AI.

A few people have commented that this image was created using AI. It was not.

It was an experiment. I wanted to see if I could paint digitally using the same tools as I would in the real world. Actual paint and brushes.

I downloaded a reference image and began with a sketch, as I would normally.

Then I selected my brushes and pallette from the various menus and began the process of building up the paint to the desired effect. Base layers. Pigments and hues. Blending.

It was going great until I cocked it up around the mouth area. Hence the smear.

I rather liked it so I left it.
