Burka, a picture of modesty
Weep in the presence of modesty.

No one wakes up and says, “Today, I shall be modest.”
Regardless of the outward projection, it should not be regarded as an extension of conditioning or a disguise. Modesty derives from within and is a unique facet of an individual’s personality.
Like so many other traits, whether an individual comes across as modest or not is subjective. An opinion of modesty draws upon the nature of the observer – their imagination, biases and experience.
Those who force their contrived rules of modesty on others should first look to address their own depravities. More often than not, their interpretation of what they see will differ from what is intended.
