Before gods were invented there was just Wonder.

Humanity
is trillions of neutrinos breeding 8 billion gormless souls.

Humanity became
gods of imagination baked in the Earth’s rubble.

Humanity became cursed
tachyons colliding within a swarming ziggurat.

Humanity became cursed & consumed
by the fear of losing what was never possessed.

Humanity became cursed & consumed, obsolete
supplicants confessing into the ears of the deaf.

Humanity became cursed & consumed, obsolete & forsaken
now that Hope itself has become the tormentor.
